There are many reasons why many have not married, even if they are having enough money and all the resources to do so. Much talk from friends, relatives and others can not even move some just because they have made up their
mind.
These are some of the reasons why many have not married;
Fear
Fear as the word of God says is a snare and when trapped you it destroys the person. Many are afraid to go into marriage just because of:
What they heard people who are passing through unwanted and unexpected situations in their marriage home.
What they see happening in some homes
Fear of who to marry
Fear of what the person may be either witch or wizard.
Fear of how to face the responsibility of marriage.
Fear of the unknown.
Disappointment
Many have been disappointed while in engagement; there are several occasions and stories that we hear in the street where girls disappoint men for other men and men disappoint girls for other girls’ viz-visa. This made many conclude in their mind never to go into love affair. There was this lady whose name withheld for reasons, God reviewed to her, the husband to be; on getting to know the man, they both formalized all formalities to be husband and wife. The woman at this time was a medical doctor and the man is just a B.Sc holder, the lady now told the man, that she would like the man to read for his M.Sc and even Ph.D. in abroad before they come together and the lady having her own hospital promised to sponsor the man which she did. On the very day that the man would return to Nigeria after concluding his education in America, the lady informed all her friends and relatives and that day they went to the airport to welcome him but that the very time that plane was to arrive, she received a phone call from the man saying he has already married to a white lady and she should never expect him to come and with time he is going send all money she spent on him while schooling. You need to be in the airport that day to see the ugly incident, how it destabilized this lady. It was there she swore never to marry in life any more. What do you have to say about this? There was still another incident that took place, and it happens to be a close person. The man had money because of the kind of business he was doing, he deal on robber lattice
The first lady he meet who promised to marry him after eating enough money from this man, upon hearing that the man want to go and see the parent for the marriage proper, she took the mans’ money and ran away. At another occasion, one of the lady he meet went borrowing money and at the time the creditor will come, the man would pay, this happens several time and at the end the lady ran away, at another occasion, the third lady makes the man’s house a harlot zone or a whore hostel., at the end of the day, she lore the man to sell his house, car and all the valuable things that man has and became poor, with these any time you tell the man about a woman, he runs away.
There are many of these stories just because these ones never know what life is all about, for what ever you sow you must reap.
Lack of trust
Trust is the basic element when it come to the matter of marriage, if you don’t trust your fiancée its regarded that that marriage will not work, many live the kind of life that, they cannot be trusted, they will one while they mean another thing in their heart, such make your fiancee to disappoint you.
Lack of money
Many refuse to marry just because they have no money, they feel they can not shoulder the responsibility of marriage i.e. taking care of a woman, because of the kind of marriage they feel like having, (presidential kind of marriage) and they don’t have such money, they preferred to wait till that time, some feel like having house, car, Industry and many more before they will marry. Etc
Family genes
There are some families which are very notable of, that they marry as from fifty years and above, these ones cannot marry on time even if you pressurized them.
Wrong idea about what marriage
Some guy says, ‘Woman is woe to man and with that, they don’t want to have the woe while the ladies says, guys are mad to woman so with that, they don’t want to associate with man. Very, Very, Very wrong idea.
Pet child
Pet children some time may never feel of leaving the house for their own home and this will make them feel like not marrying. They feel they are at home, what then is the need of marrying and leaving their parents. Some time their parents never see any thing wrong with the idea just because they are still serviceable to them. When parent are too close to their children, there is the tendency that, their children that, that child/children will feel difficult to leave the home. Over pet spoils a child either directly or indirectly.
Inferiority complex
To some, whenever they see the opposite sex they feel inferior, and with this they never love having any kind of talk with their opposite sex, especially those who never attained a higher education.
Pride of attainment
Pride is a major disease that hinders many from getting married; the pride of position, wealth, political stand, parental background, case position, job status, height, car, house and many more. When you look to these, you may not marry especially if you didn’t see any one that matches those positions that you have attained. Mind you these things will not play the place of a wife or husband.

Some will say I want my wedding to be like that of the queen of England, president daughter’s wedding whereas, he/she doesn’t have the money to do that, at the end of the day, the marriage fold up.

This is another reason why many have not married. At first approach, many ladies asked for recharge card or any other gift thinking that, if the guy is serious, he must give. And they feel that is the test to any that will ask them for marriage; or immediately after the first approach, any time the guy call or visit, the girl must ask for one thing or the other. If a guy notice this, I bet you, he will know for sure that you are not for him but for his money and guess what will happen. One my lecture, Dr. Mrs. Ikogho once told us in class, that, ‘At your first approach, if a girl ask you to give her any thing that means that girl is not your wife’; also, ‘If a man gives you any gift at first approach, that means he only want you at bed and not for marriage. So be wise that is from an experienced mother.
Covenant
There are some cases whereby the lady or man may have made covenant with the demonic world never to marry in life, and if that happen, the partner must die. Knowing this they will not like to try it neither give their love to any. Some ladies have been made the wife of the gods in their communities; these ladies can never marry, like wise men they can never marry.
Some men use their private part to make covenant to get money, that covenant can never be broken by them except by a greater power i.e. by the power of Jesus in a sound Pentecostal church. And before then, you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour before you can be delivered. Don’t be deceived, there are no other ways where you can be saved, except in Jesus.
Procrastination
This is a deadly disease that eats many up, they will always say, “By next year come August, I must get married”, but when the August come they will shift it again till next August. Remember, time is running out. Some will say, let me finish my Master / Ph.D program first before I get married, some girls will always say, ‘Let me finish my school first, OK oooo. At the time you finish your school and face is getting wrinkles, no man will get close to you any more if you rub pancake.
Sex mate
Sex mate is some one you chose to be having sex with at your leisure time or at wish. Some of you who have sex mate and also want some other good guy or humble lady to come on your way, it is not possible. If you must married, marry the guy you have now or better leave him or her so that some other person can come. Imagine if a guy have intension of marrying you and some one told him that, ‘that lady is having a guy already’, will the guy come your way again? No. so now you better make the right choice now.
Incubus and succubus
These are male or female spirit having sex with people in dreams, it can also be called spirit husband or spirit wife. They personify human body to have sex with people in dream. At the time you wake up, you see yourself wet, feeling waist pain and heat at your abdomen, there is transfer of diseases and these diseases have the capacity of destroying your generation if not dealt with on time. These spirits can also affect married men and women and if it does, it causes miscarriage in women, impotency to men (weak organ) lost of interest in your spouse etc.
Lack of interest
There are some who do not have interest in opposite sex, they are just concerned with their work, even if the opposite is stack naked, they are not arose. It is not because they don’t like it but they don’t have the interest, all they know is, ‘I have a task to complete’. Forgetting that, before they realize, their time have gone.
One way view
Some never thought that we have two sex (male / female), they believe every body is one either we are all male or female. They are just one way traffic; this could the background of the person, where he or she grows up. Parent should help correct this situation. Please.
Playing away your time
These are the group of people who says, “Let me rock my life first before I get marry, after all after marriage I can not rock again”. Remember, those you are rocking with, when they are ready to marry, they will not marry you but will rather go to the village to marry one CHICKINTO. You must reframe form this if not you will live to regret your life.
Parental influence
Some parent will not allow the children to choose the their spouse, they feel they understand more than their children and what ever they choose that must be the choice of their children. The children choices are not taken to consideration, this is virtually wrong. Your generation is different than that of your children, so allow them to choose for themselves, if not, if they fail, they will live to curse you and you never enjoy them
HOMOSEXUAL / LESBIANISM
Having relationship of, relating to, or exhibiting sexual attraction toward others of the same sex as oneself; one who is sexually attracted to others of the same sex between man to man. Beik Dictionary for Mobile Window 6.0
Lesbian is living a life pertaining to homosexual relations between women
a woman who practices homosexuality, or is a homosexual. Beik Dictionary for Mobile Window 6.0
When you are in these situations, you may not have the hunger for marriage because you feels satisfied with it. This is very dangerous; it will not only affect your moral and social life but attracts God's judgment upon you if you refuses to desist from it.

Many young men and ladies are involved in this very acts, when the urge for sex comes and there is no opportunity to discharge, the need for this arose if not sublimated. If you are always carried away in situation, you feel settled with it and before you it, it becomes a habits that you can note do without. This, been an immune deffitiency, it will be difficult to be attracted to the opposite sex which will eventually affects your whole life. Please stop it Now.
