Glory is the opposite
of shame. According to Proverbs 3:35, the wise shall inherit glory, but shame
shall be the promotion of fools. Fools are the opposite of the wise, so shame
is the opposite of glory. Glory is the opposite of reproach. 2 Kings 5:1 tells
us that as a successful as Naaman was, there was a ‘but’ in his life because he
was a leper. Glory is the opposite of failure, glory is the opposite
of defeat, glory is the opposite of bondage and glory definitely is the opposite of sorrow. The Bible says in Proverbs 12:25 that the heaviness of heart makes it stoop. When the head is down, that means something which is not glorious has happened. Whatever is causing you to bow your head in shame shall be removed today in Jesus name.
of defeat, glory is the opposite of bondage and glory definitely is the opposite of sorrow. The Bible says in Proverbs 12:25 that the heaviness of heart makes it stoop. When the head is down, that means something which is not glorious has happened. Whatever is causing you to bow your head in shame shall be removed today in Jesus name.
So glory is the
opposite of shame. Glory is the opposite of reproach, it is the opposite of
failure, it is the opposite of defeat, it is the opposite of bondage and it is
the opposite of sorrow.
Who
is a glory producer?
A glory producer is
someone who removes shame, reproach, failure, defeat, bondage, and sorrow. When
we go to the scriptures we will find a number of glory producers.
The first one we will
talk about is Samuel who is a shame remover. Before Samuel was born in 1Samuel
1:1-17, his mother was constantly kept in shame and sorrow. The second wife in
the family made sure that Hannah was constantly reminded that she was barren
but when Samuel came, everything changed. The woman who had been bowing her
head in shame was able to lift up her head proudly. As soon as Samuel arrived
in 1 Samuel 2: 1, you can hear what Hannah said; And Hannah prayed and said my
heart rejoice in the lord, my horn is exalted in the lord, my mouth is enlarged
over my enemies because I rejoice in his salvation.’’
A glory producer is a
reproach removal and the example here is David. Before David showed up in 1Samuel
17:22-26, Goliath had reproached not only Israel but also the God of Israel. He
had boasted saying, ‘I defile all the army of Israel today’. When David showed
up, he asked, ‘What shall be done for the man, who kills this giant and take
away this reproach from Israel.’ The Bible in 1Samuel 49:49-52 tells us that on
the same day, David knocked down Goliath, cut off his head and raised it up for
everybody to see. Those who were once reproach shouted for joy. A glory producer is someone who removes
failure. Joshua was a failure remover. In Joshua 1:1-6, the Bible says where
Moses failed, Joshua will succeed.
Moses brought the
children of Israel out of Egypt, but he could not take them into the promise
land, and so God said to Joshua, you will take these people to the land and
distribute the land to them.
A glory producer is a
defeat remover, and we take the example of Gideon. In judges 6:1-6, Israel was
defeated totally by the Midianites such that whenever Israel was planting, the
Midianites would not pay attention but when what they had planted was ready to
be harvested, the Midianites would move in and take everything away from them.
In judges 7:19-25, Gideon wiped out the
Midianites and he turned the defeat of Israel to a great victory. Every defeat
in your family shall be changed to victory today in Jesus name.
A glory producer is
someone who is a bondage remover. According to Exodus 3:7-10, Israel was in
serious bondage in the land of Egypt, until God raised up Moses who brought the
children of Israel out of bondage. In
Exodus 15:1-6, the children of Israel sang the song of victory.
A glory producer is a
sorrow remover. According to Genesis 21:1-6, when Isaac was born, the mother
who had been sad for a good part of ninety years, said “God has made me laugh
and all that hear will laugh with me.’’
When you know the
opposite of glory; shame, reproach, failure, defeat, bondage, sorrow” then you
know that a glory producer is someone who removes the opposite of glory.
“There is another way
of producing glory and this has to do particularly with the youths. It is going
beyond the greatness of your parent, and going beyond the greatness of your
parents, and going beyond their highest expectation of you,” The most
outstanding way of producing glory is to be greater than your parents and
exceed their greatest expectation of you.
The Bible tells us that
Abraham was great, Genesis 24:34-35; Isaac was greater, Genesis 26:12-014, and
Jacob was greater than Isaac, Genesis 30:40-43. So we see a great father,
Abraham, a greater son, Isaac and even a greater grandson, Jacob.
Now I know that some of
your parents are great, they are already very big people, very great people and
you look at them and you say ‘how can I ever catch up with this person?’ There
is a God, in the heavens who can make a son greater than is his father; the God
of Isaac who made him greater than Abraham. That same God is still alive and if
you will allow Him, He will pick you up where you are now and make you greater
than your parents in Jesus name.
Then there is this
young man who exceeded his father’s expectation. His name was Elisha. In 2
kings 2:9-15, His father, Elijah, asked him, ‘I am about to go, what do you
want? What do you want me to give you as a heritage?’ Elisha said to Elijah, ‘I
want double portion of your spirit’, Elijah said ‘What do you think you are
asking for? Don’t you your father is? The spirit that is on me called down fire
at will, raise the dead, sealed and opened the heavens, and that is not enough
for you?
The boy said that you
are the one who asked me to make a request and that is what I have done. That
is what I want. Your expectation is that I will be like you but my desire is
that I will be twice as great as you.
Elijah said you asked a
hard thing, but if you see me when the one who sent me comes for me, you will
get what you have asked for.
So what have all these
glory producers in common?
What are those things
that all these glory producers have in common so that I too can become a glory
producer?
1)
They
all had faith. Mark 11:22-24 says And jesus answering saint unto them, Have
faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in
his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saint shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saint. Therefore I say unto you, what things
so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall
have them. If you have faith, you will
be able to remove the mountains of shame, failure, reproach, defeat, bondage
and sorrow. When David was going to face Goliath, he said, I come against you
in the name of the Lord of host’. He believed that there is power in the Lord
of hosts. Do you believe that the mountain before you shall in the name of
Jesus Christ? So it be in Jesus name.
2)
The
second thing the glory producers have in common is anointing. There is
anointing of God on every glory producer. The bible says in Zech 4:6, not by
might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Anyone who is
going to produce glory must have the anointing of God
There
was a special anointing on Elijah that was transferred to Elisha. There was a
special anointing on Moses which was transferred to Joshua when he laid his
hands on him. The Bible says in Acts 10:38, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all
that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him . Anointing is necessary
to destroy yokes. That is why every child of God who is truly born again must
seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit urgently, because the anointing comes
through the Holy Spirit.
3)
The third thing that these people had in
common is total submission to authorities. This is total submission to the
authority of parents, whether biological or spiritual. The Bible in James 4:7 says
that you must first of all submit to God before you resist the devil. When you
look at the example of Isaac in Genesis 22:1-18, how did Isaac became somebody
who excel, and go beyond his father? It was because he surrendered completely
to his father.
The father was going to
offer him as a sacrifice. The father was almost 120 years old and Isaac was
only fifteen. How could an old man bind a young man if the boy did not
surrender?
All he needed to do was
to run away. Let a fifteen year old and a hundred-twenty year old run a race
and see who will win. We know who will win, but this boy surrendered.
Because Isaac
surrendered to the authority of his father, God said in Genesis 22:16-18, By
myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and
hast not withheld thy only son, thine only son: That in blessing , I will bless
thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven,
and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the
gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the earth be blessed; because
thou hast obeyed myvoice. In other
words, God said, Abraham, I swear, in blessing II will bless you and turned to
Isaac, in multiplying I will multiply you. I will bless your father; I will
multiply you, because you surrendered to the authority of your father.
How did Elisha manage
to get the portion of the anointing of Elijah? He surrendered completely to the
authority of his spiritual father. Read the story in 2 kings 2:1-8, wherever
his daddy went, he went. Whatever Elijah wanted done was what Elisha would do.
That was why the father asked him, ‘what
do you want?’
Let me conclude, by
asking if you know that, according to the word of God, everyone who is a
christian can exceed what Jesus did when he was here on earth? He said so
himself in John 14:12, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth in me,
the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. He said I opened blind eyes; you will do same, I
made the lame to walk; you will do the same, I raised the dead; you will do the
same. He sealed it by saying that even greater than all these you will do.
TOTAL SUBMISSION is
however required to actualize all these. In Matthew 11:28-30, He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laiden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For
my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
You want to be a glory
producer? Wherever you go to, you want glory to be produced? You want to be one
of those people who will change shame to glory, remove reproach from lives,
change failure to success, change defeat to victory, change bondage to freedom,
change sorrow to joy? Do you want to be one of those people, who when they
arrive, miracles arrive? Then you must surrender completely to Jesus Christ
today.
Total surrender to
Jesus, total obedience, and willingness to do whatever He says, are all He
requires. I am appealing to you to surrender your life to Jesus today. If you
do so, you will have a brand new beginning. You see, the word of God is clear,
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away,
behold all things are new. If you have not given your life to Jesus and you
want to do so, you want shame to
end, you want failure to end, defeat to end, you want bondage to end, you want
sorrow to end, call upon Jesus where you are and ask him to have mercy on you,
save your soul and write your name in the book of life.
I want you to pray this
prayer with all your heart. Say Father, make me a channel of blessing, let me
be a glory producer, where there is shame let me bring glory, where there is
reproach, let me bring your blessing, where there is failure, let me bring
success, where there is defeat let me bring victory, where there is bondage let
me bring freedom, where there is sorrow let me bring joy. Father, make me a
channel of blessings.
